If I back at the Digital Copy tier, how do I tell you what platform I'd like for my copy?

We will offer your choice of any platform we unlock! So that means the base copy would be Windows / Mac / Linux, and if the Switch and PS4 stretch goals are reached, we will offer these as well!

After the KS is over, backers at a tier where they have to make choices get sent a survey, and it is there that you indicate your choices to us!

Can I select any platform I want for the Physical Copy tier?

Much like the digital, we will offer your choice of any platform we unlock! So that means the base copy would be Windows / Mac / Linux, and if the Switch and PS4 stretch goals are reached, we will offer these as well!

After the KS is over, backers at a tier where they have to make choices get sent a survey, and it is there that you indicate your choices to us!

I see the petition to offer a Physical Copy for 50 USD as well! What are the details?

So offering physical rewards is VERY expensive, especially for the Nintendo Switch, where the units themselves are costly, and there is a very high minimum order size.

We think our current 100 USD tier is a very good deal, since it offers a physical copy for 40 USD more than the tier below, and you get everything below it as well! The physical copy is also a Limited Edition, Special cover printing!

That said, some folks would like to snag ONLY a physical copy, so we’d like to offer one at a 50 USD price as well! But if we offered these, and only sold a handful, we would go into serious debt, rather than actually making the money from the Kickstarter as intended. The threshold for making 0 dollars, or the break-even point, is around 1000 copies. Before that, the money contributed from these JUST goes to paying to produce them, so it isn’t really backing us in some senses, but more like offering a service, and at a steep loss. After 1000, it becomes more like backing.

So if we offer this, we NEED to sell 1000+. That is what the petition is all about! If we reach that signature goal early in the campaign, we will open those up for sale! It will also be the same Limited Edition Cover from the other tier!

It would be offered through one of two means; you will probably be able to select it just as its own tier, if that is all you want; you will also be able to add 50 USD (+ 5 USD for US shipping, or 16 USD for international shipping) to your order, and specify in the backer’s surveys that you are putting this money toward your physical! (we will be able to figure it out anyway, based on what you gave, but you should indicate this anyway to be sure).

Will This game Come to Switch and PS4 if those goals are not met?

We will bring HB to those platforms at some point regardless. So why are they stretch goals?

It takes significant money to bring a project to a consoles, and especially to fund production of physical copies. While we are already committed to developing for the Switch, we do need to secure the funding to provide for that development and production as well! Funding the Switch during the campaign will make a couple things happen:

-We will be able to start developing the work for the Switch at the earliest possible moment -We will be able to offer Digital and Phsyical copies for the Switch as well, at the same tiers as you pledged at! You will indicate for us on the backer survey post KS what platform you would like! If we do not make the Switch Stretch goal during the campaign, we will not be able to offer these at that time!

Similar logic goes for the PS4, which is placed just higher in a Stretch goal!

If I Pledge at a Tier with multiple copies (some combination of Digital and Physical), can I get different ones?

You can think of every copy you are due as a “slot”, which you can fill with any of the unlocked platforms! So as a person at the 100 USD tier, you get 2 digital and 1 physical, and can get a different platform for each!

Does the 50 USD physical come with a manual, like the 100 USD one does?

Yes! The 50 USD physical comes with a manual, and it is the same exact Limited Edition, Special Cover copy! The only difference between these two tiers is that the 100 USD tier comes with all the tiers below it, and the 50 USD doesn’t, in order to offer it for the lowest price for those only interested in this item!

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
